Terms of Use
United States notice: Sections 3 and 9 explain the US estimate methodology, public-source limitations and rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
These Terms govern your use of REHOWS.com. By using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Informational service only
REHOWS provides general cost-estimation and planning information. It is not a valuation, survey, inspection, quotation, financial product, legal service or professional advice. Results do not replace advice from a qualified contractor, surveyor, architect, engineer, valuer, financial adviser, tax adviser, lawyer or other appropriate professional. Use of REHOWS does not create a professional, advisory, fiduciary, contractor-client or similar relationship.
2. Estimates and user responsibility
Estimates depend on regional data, assumptions and information you enter. Data may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or unsuitable for a particular property. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you remain solely responsible for your project and decisions, including checking all inputs, measurements, calculations, taxes, scope, condition, defects, permits, codes, insurance, financing, safety requirements and results before relying on them. Obtain property-specific inspections, independent written quotations and professional advice before making or committing to any financial, contractual, property or safety decision. Do not delay urgent inspection, repair or safety action because of information shown by REHOWS.
3. United States estimates and public sources
US national ranges are REHOWS planning estimates developed by adapting the REHOWS international cost framework to US terminology, US customary units and USD. State ranges use general Regional Price Parities published by the US Bureau of Economic Analysis. Those price parities are not a construction-specific index and do not make the estimates government-produced, government-approved or suitable as local quotations.
Federal sources may be used for general context concerning price levels, construction activity, taxes, financing, incentives and permits. They do not provide or endorse the individual REHOWS cost ranges. State and local rules, taxes, codes, licensing, permits, incentives and professional requirements must be checked independently.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, bypass security, introduce malicious code, scrape it at unreasonable scale, infringe rights, submit unlawful or misleading information, or use it to harm another person. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect REHOWS, users or third parties.
5. Contributions
You remain responsible for information you submit and confirm that you have the right to provide it. You grant REHOWS a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, analyse, translate, aggregate, adapt and use submitted cost information to operate and improve the service. We may review, reject, correct, anonymise or remove submissions and are not obliged to publish them.
6. Intellectual property and availability
The REHOWS name, visual identity, original site content, software, report templates and compilation of data are owned by or licensed to REHOWS and may be protected by copyright, trademark, database and other intellectual-property laws. These rights do not extend to general ideas, methods, facts or material owned by third parties.
REHOWS gives you a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable permission to use the service and generated reports for their intended personal or internal planning purposes. Except where law permits otherwise, you may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license, remove rights notices from or commercially exploit protected REHOWS materials without prior written permission. You retain any rights you hold in original material you submit, subject to the licence for contributions described above.
We may change, suspend or discontinue features and do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or permanently available service.
7. Third-party services
The service may rely on or link to third-party services. Their availability, security and content are controlled by those parties and may be subject to separate terms.
8. Warranties and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, REHOWS is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties as to accuracy, completeness, fitness for purpose or results. You use the service and reports at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, REHOWS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, lost profit, lost opportunity, loss of data, financing costs, property defects, project delays or overruns, contractor performance, or decisions made in reliance on the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or limits liability, rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or limited, including liability for intent or other liability that mandatory law requires.
9. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Mandatory consumer protections and any court jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected. We may update these Terms prospectively; continued use after publication means the updated Terms apply.
If you live in the United States, nothing in these Terms waives rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable federal or state law. Any warranty exclusion or liability limitation applies only to the extent permitted in your jurisdiction.
10. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply and the affected provision applies to the maximum extent lawfully possible. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, form the agreement governing use of REHOWS; mandatory law always prevails.
